Mission
NYC Bio is a private not-for-profit organization to facilitate collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship in the NYC bioscience community. Our goal is to build and sustain a thriving NYC biotech cluster. Through networking and educational events, we draw together people and resources from the NYC pillars of academia, medicine, business and finance. |

What we doNYC Bio provides several forums for our members - entrepreneurial scientists, business leaders, and investors - to exchange contact information, expertise and vision. Our networking and educational events focus on promoting entrepreneurial spirit and transforming ideas into innovation. - NYC Bio Meetups are real life stories of success and failure from entrepreneurs, as well as timely discussions on cutting edge issues facing the NYC bioscience community, with extra time for networking.
- NYC Bio Nuts and Bolts are panel discussions, lectures and seminars on practical topics of interest and use to each group of players in the bioscience community, with extra time for networking. Examples include, "Biotech 101," "How to write a business plan," "How to approach VCs," "Transition from the lab to business/from academia to industry," "Investors' roundtable," etc.
- NYC Bio Mixers and cocktail hours provide a relaxed atmosphere for peer-to-peer and cross-discipline connections between scientists, business leaders, investors and others in the NYC bioscience community.
